1. Tell us when your new showroom opened and what the response has been like so far from customers?

We opened the showroom to the public sometime in July although it wasn’t fully complete. The final finishing touches were complete by the end of October and we were able to advertise its official opening, reopening for Saturday trading as well.

The response has been brilliant, a lot of lovely comments from near and far. Customers able to visit the showroom in person have all had lovely things to say and consultations have been taking longer than the standard for some reason!

2. Can you talk us through some of the key items you have on display?

The standout feature has to be our full scale kitchen. Launching our Timber Joinery Door offering last year this has been a goal of ours ever since. The 3.4m solid American Oak Island Bench attracts a lot of attention. The kitchen showcases three of our most popular door profiles, 30mm and 60mm shaker as well as our keys louvered profile, integrated appliances, pocket door bar and Signorino terracotta natural stone on the back bench and splashback - the whole kitchen leaves its mark on you.

3. Can customers create mood boards in store using material selections etc?

Yes, we have an assortment of materials including stone, tiles, metals, render samples and of course our timbers for customers to play around with. We also have a shelf of basins and the whole Brodware tap range for customers to pair with our vanity designs in our bathroom section.

4. We love the store fit out, can you tell us about the colour palette and textures/materials chosen to complement your range of products?

Inspired by our product photoshoots where every detail matters, we wanted the showroom to have a sense of calm as you walked in, somewhere customers can feel inspired and not overwhelmed. We wanted a pared-back ‘gallery’ feel which isn’t easy to pull off for an open layout furniture showroom. It was a balance between showcasing the variety of furniture we craft and keeping that area’s look ‘collected’ and not mix-matched. Rob and I definitely changed the goalposts a few times. The biggest achievement in pulling this combination together has been the use of mineral fox lime render throughout. The texture and tone of this material is the perfect background for our timber.

You can visit Loughlin Furniture’s new showroom at 3/6 Hereford St, Berkeley Vale, NSW. Or shop their collection of products online.
