Owners, Andrew and Lucy Pink, have converted what was once a conventional motel into a chic seaside stay with a casual coastal aesthetic. Having relocated to the Sunshine Coast from the UK with their three children, Andrew and Lucy wanted to bring together their passion for travel and design, and Andrew’s lifelong experience in the hotel industry, to redefine the accommodation offered on the Sunshine Coast.

“My husband Andrew and I relocated to the Sunshine Coast from the UK in September in 2019 with our three children. We bought a dated atypical red brick motel and had a vision to create a small boutique hotel with a laidback coastal luxe vibe that we felt fit the Coast perfectly. We were surprised by the lack of quality hotel accommodation on the Sunshine Coast, outside of the lovely Airbnbs around. We undertook a complete renovation project at the end of January and once the Covid restrictions were lifted opened at the end of May 2020!”

With 10 elegantly appointed rooms, Loea is both stylish and laid back - decorated in calming hues with subtle coastal touches. Offering a magnesium pool, tranquil garden, free bike hire and locally sourced food and drink from their vintage food truck.
Tailor made for exploring the Sunshine Coast, Loea is surrounded by pristine beaches and river ways, restaurants, cafes, shops and surf breaks.
