This past Christmas, I was fortunate enough to spend the holidays with my family at Elements of Byron, in Byron Bay. It has significantly expanded since my first trip to Elements just over a year ago, including their new luxury two-bedroom, two-bathroom villas, Botanica Beach Club (pictured very bottom of blog post), and the Summer Salt Adults Only pool area for guests over 18 years of age (which you see pictured here). Complete with a swim-up pool bar, private cabanas, and a cute taqueria caravan serving up tasy Mexican cuisine, this was hands down my favourite part of the resort. Not having kids myself, it’s refreshing to see a resort catering to all guests, not just families. That being said, the main lagoon pool at the resort still remains a family-friendly oasis (albeit a much noisier one).

I holidayed here with my partner, parents, and sister, and we all stayed in one of their new two-bedroom villas. At first I was hesitant, would we all get in each other’s way (and on each other’s nerves!). Funnily enough, no. And I think that comes down to the villas being quite spacious, with each bedroom having its own bathroom. Along with that there is a kitchen, living area and dining space (out on a covered balcony) that gives everyone their own space, plus with so many various areas within the resort to relax, we could all stretch out and do our own thing, or meet up, when we wanted to.

Whether you’re travelling with kids, or just want a romantic escape for two, I would totally recommend Elements of Byron for your next holiday. Everything is at your fingertips, you almost don’t need to leave. There’s restaurants/eateries on-site, the beach just a couple of minutes away (the resort is situated right on the beach), a day spa, two pool areas, all set in tranquil bushland. Oh, and as the resort is so spread out, the concierge will take you anywhere within the resort grounds in their little golf buggies. All you have to do is sit back and relax. Ahhh.
