This multi residential project with four stand alone dwellings is located in a small cul-de-sac in leafy Burraneer Bay in NSW. Two of the homes embrace classic style whilst the other two offer contemporary style. “The four dwellings really elevate the street visually,” says interior designer Loretta Wilson of LOWI Interiors.

“The developers wanted to create two distinct styles of homes but in the same breath allow the facades to compliment each other and feel like one development. So we kept the external paint colours consistent across all four dwellings and married them all together with the beautiful crazy paving driveways leading to each home,” says Loretta.

“For the classic dwellings, I am in love with the interior paint colour, it has the perfect amount of warmth without feeling creamy, as soon as you walk in the door you feel a sense of calm and zen. A few steps down the hallway, through a beautiful archway the ceilings open up with exposed beams and repeated skylights, both just take your breath away. By layering the kitchen, dining and living with timber, rattan, handmade tiles, brass and flowing linen drapes we have continued that feeling of calm and zen.”

“For the contemporary dwellings (pictured below) the natural terrazzo throughout is the main hero, featuring in both the kitchen and bathrooms it injects an organic, luxe element.”

“Designing for developments is always a tricky balance between aesthetic, functionality and budget all whilst appealing to a wide audience. We thoroughly enjoyed working with the architect, Victoria Vine of Avenue Studios and our client Pure Property closely to find that perfect balance between form, function and budget. Clockwork Constructions did an amazing job bringing the dwellings to life through multiple lockdowns and endless material shortages.”
