Australia’s hottest new hotels

The Lodge Wadjemup, WA

Escape reality and join us on a tour of five of Australia’s trendiest new hotels (with interiors to die for!).

THE LODGE WADJEMUP

ROTTNEST ISLAND, WA

The Lodge Wadjemup has three main areas of accommodation on Rottnest Island to suit a range of travellers. Its fully refurbished Courtyard rooms are located within heritage buildings at The Lodge. Spacious renovated Lake rooms sit alongside the peaceful salt lakes, while the newly built Poolhouse rooms surround the pool area.

All the interiors are characterised by natural materials, pastel tones, and textures that echo the local landscape. The design philosophy is minimalist yet warm, ensuring that every element, from the furniture to the fixtures, enhances the guest experience without overshadowing the island’s natural beauty.

When you’re not exploring, cool off at the pool or grab a bite to eat at onsite bar and dining space Sunsets, or at Pelican, a casual kiosk serving up coffee and soft-serve ice creams.

SEA SEA HOTEL

CRESCENT HEAD, NSW

Sea Sea Hotel is a 25-room boutique hotel in Crescent Head that celebrates the laidback spirit of ’70s Australian surf culture. Created and designed by Gorrow Studio, Sea Sea is a retreat for travellers who seek a unique blend of luxury, wellness and culinary experiences.

Old brickwork, stained timber walls and coffee-coloured stone floors set the backdrop for interiors that are warm and welcoming – designed to feel more like a home than a hotel.

Spend your time lounging by the pool; immersing yourself in music, art and surf culture at the Surf Club; or dining in the relaxed setting of the Kitchen and Bar. You can also hire a surfboard from reception and make the most of your beachside stay.

THE CLAIRFIELD HOTEL

MUDGEE, NSW

The Clairfield Hotel is home to 57 impeccably designed guest rooms and suites. Its interiors have been curated to celebrate Mudgee’s country landscape, with a colour palette inspired by autumn leaves, spring cherry blossoms, and the eucalypts that dot the local streets.
